Newsletter information

  • Subscription status and confirmation status

  • Information about how you signed up, where available

  • Email engagement data such as opens and clicks, where collected


Behavioral Data:

  • Strategies you select and use

  • Daily check-in responses

  • Your progress across the program

  • Your typology results

  • Reflections, written answers or other responses you choose to provide during the program


Usage Patterns:

  • How you navigate the platform

  • Content you choose to engage with

  • App activity, contacts, or photos

  • GPS or continuous location data

  • Any content stored outside the De-Viced platform

  • Background tracking of your device

  • Full payment card details

  • We apply technical and organisational measures to protect your data from misuse and unauthorised access.

  • Personal identifiers are stored separately from research data where appropriate.

  • Research data is pseudonymised wherever possible.

  • Data is protected using access controls and appropriate security safeguards.

  • Access is limited to authorised people who need it for program delivery, support, administration, research or legal compliance

  • If data is transferred outside Switzerland or the EU/EEA, we use Standard Contractual Clauses or equivalent safeguards where required.


Your Rights

You have the right to:

  • Withdraw from research at any time

  • Request deletion of research data that can still be linked to you

  • Request deletion of your account and personal data, subject to legal, accounting or compliance retention requirements

  • Access the information we hold about you

  • Correct inaccurate information

  • Export your data on request

  • Object to or restrict certain types of processing, where applicable

  • Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent

Withdrawing from research is separate from leaving the program or requesting a refund. Refund eligibility is explained in the Terms.


How to Exercise Your Rights

  • We may need to verify your identity before completing certain requests.

  • We normally respond within 7 days. Where a request is complex or requires more time, we will let you know.


Data Retention

  • Active participation: data is kept for program delivery, support, administration and research purposes.

  • Program and account data: kept for as long as needed to provide the program, manage your account, assess refund eligibility and support legitimate business or research purposes.

  • Research withdrawal: if you withdraw from research, we will stop using identifiable or directly linkable data for future research where reasonably possible. Data that has already been anonymised or included in aggregate analysis may be retained.

  • Account deletion: if you request account deletion, we will delete or anonymise personal data within 30 days where possible.

  • Payment, refund and accounting records: may be retained for longer where required for tax, accounting, fraud prevention, dispute handling or legal compliance.

  • Anonymised insights and aggregate research findings may be kept indefinitely.


Children’s Data

  • De-Viced is for adults aged 18+. We do not knowingly collect or process data from individuals under 18.

  • Research findings are published or shared only in anonymised or aggregate form.

  • Academic partners may receive pseudonymised data where needed for research purposes.

  • Research results are used to improve methods for healthier digital habits.

  • We do not publish research information that directly identifies individual participants.

  • If we want to use your name, image, testimonial, quote or story publicly, we will ask for separate permission.

  • Research is conducted with Dr. Maèva Flayelle, University of Lausanne. Research data shared for academic research is pseudonymised or anonymised, depending on the purpose and stage of analysis.
